Baelen BG3: A Comprehensive Review and its Comparison with Daphne Fama

Save Baelen in Baldur’s Gate 3: A Guide

If you’ve ever ventured into the treacherous depths of the Underdark in Baldur’s Gate 3, you may have encountered a grumpy mushroom-picking gnome and his worried wife. Unfortunately, the husband has gone missing and finds himself surrounded by dangerous mushrooms. But fear not, there is a way to save him without risking your own demise. Here’s how:

The Underdark is filled with perils that can bring doom to you and your companions – lurking creatures, tree-dwelling menaces, and cantankerous dwarves. However, the most formidable threat of all is the bibberbang mushrooms. These explosive mushrooms not only release spores that can damage you but also detonate at the slightest touch. Sadly, Baelen has become trapped in the midst of these volatile fungi.

But fret not, for we have a variety of methods at our disposal to rescue him:

The simplest and most effective way to save Baelen in Baldur’s Gate 3 is by employing the Misty Step spell. By casting this spell, you can teleport directly to Baelen’s pack. Lo and behold, within the pack rests a precious Scroll of Misty Step. To complete the rescue, you must pass a strength check with a minimum score of 10 to throw the scroll to Baelen. It’s worth noting that my own warlock failed this attempt due to their spindly arms. However, if you succeed, Baelen will use the scroll to make a swift escape from danger.

Misty Step is an incredible spell that becomes available to your spellcasters as they level up. It proves to be highly valuable both during and outside of battles, making it a must-have. However, if you don’t have access to it, don’t worry! You can easily find a vendor who sells potions or scrolls that provide similar benefits.

If finding such items proves to be a challenge, you can always rely on Mage Hand to throw the bag at your target. This clever workaround eliminates the need for a strength check and serves as an excellent way to navigate through traps.

For players who have built their characters with a focus on strength, they might possess the necessary power to make a long jump to the bag without relying on Misty Step. Once you reach the bag, remember to throw it at Balen to save him.

If none of the aforementioned methods are available to you, there is an alternate solution. You can compel Baelen to make a run for it by taking a step forward into the bibberbang and throwing water at the torch situated at the back. This action will prevent the noxious fumes from causing an explosion, allowing Baelen to survive.

Are you ready to embark on an exciting adventure? Look no further! In this quest, you’ll need to throw a healing potion at Baelen to ensure his survival. Once he’s ready to go, trigger the bibberbang, and watch Baelen make his daring run. If he’s strong enough, he’ll make it through unscathed. And that’s not all! After completing this heroic feat, don’t forget to talk to Baelen’s wife at the mycoid camp to claim your well-deserved reward.

Now, the next challenge awaits you near the majestic Sussur tree. With the masterwork plans from the Blighted Village in your possession, your mission is to obtain the precious Sussure Tree Bark. But fear not, fellow gamers, as I have an easy solution for you!
