Baldur’s Gate 3 is packed with unique and powerful items that can completely transform your team’s strategy, thanks to their special effects. However, these items often come with a significant drawback. This is certainly the case with the highly sought-after Resonance Stone, which can only be found in a specific location in the game.
The Resonance Stone is a one-of-a-kind item in Baldur’s Gate 3 and can be obtained in the Necrotic Laboratory within the Mindflayer Colony during Act 2. To reach this area, you must first confront Ketheric Thorm at the top of Moonrise Tower.
Once inside the Mindflayer Colony, make your way to the Necrotic Lab and locate the Mind-Archives. Here, you’ll come across a collection of brains that you can interact with. But more importantly, you’ll find the Resonance Stone glowing on a desk. Be warned, though, as it emits an incessant hum that can be quite bothersome.
Once you acquire the Resonance Stone, both you and your team will reap the rewards.
By holding the Resonance Stone, everyone within a generous 9-meter or 30-foot radius will benefit from the Steeped In Bliss passive ability.
This passive ability grants those affected with a significant advantage on physical checks, while simultaneously imposing a disadvantage on mental Saving Throws. It’s important to note that those under the influence of the stone will also become more vulnerable to Psychic damage. This vulnerability can pose a major challenge when facing off against Ketheric Thorm and his legion of Mindflayers.
However, triumph over this formidable fight, and the Resonance Stone transforms into an invaluable asset, particularly if you have a party that relies heavily on spellcasting. The trade-off, of course, is the incessant humming that becomes a constant companion wherever you go.
