Warzone Season 4 introduced a new element to the game – Vondel’s keys. These keys are essential for accessing valuable areas and items that can greatly enhance your gameplay. One such key is the Houseboat Key, and here’s everything you need to know about acquiring and using it in Warzone DMZ.
Looting
Like the other keys introduced by Vondel, the Houseboat Key can be obtained through looting. We highly recommend searching through the clothes scattered around the residential zones in the exclusion zone. In Season 4 Reloaded, the chances of finding keys have significantly increased, making it an exciting opportunity for players.
Mission
Alternatively, the Houseboat Key can also be acquired by completing a mission. Specifically, this key is obtained through the “Security Checkpoint” mission, which is a Tier 2 Mission in the Phalanx Faction. To complete this mission, players need to fulfill two tasks:
- Place a Tactical Camera at the Central Station in Vondel.
- Mark 10 enemies with the Tactical Camera at the Central Station.
By completing these tasks, you will be rewarded with the Houseboat Key, granting you access to new areas and items within the game.
Completing a certain mission in the game is unbelievably easy for players, thanks to the option of equipping the Tactical Camera as their Field Upgrade before a match even begins. There’s no need to waste time looting one in-game; simply start with it in your loadout, make your way to Central Station, and deploy it. Find a safe spot nearby and jump into your Tactical Camera to keep an eye on enemy movements in and around the Station.
Successfully completing the Security Checkpoint mission rewards players with a hefty 7,500 XP and a Houseboat Key in exceptional condition (meaning it can be used 3 times).
Key Chain
Another method of obtaining the Houseboat Key is by unlocking the Windmill Bag. However, this will require the Windmill Bag Key, which means you might have to backtrack a bit in order to acquire the key(s) you’re after.
The Windmill Bag is located on top of a Windmill in the southern region of Vondel, nestled between Stadium and the Zoo. Specifically, it can be found in grid E7 on the game’s map.
Eliminate the AI enemies guarding the base and make your way up to the top. You’ll find a bag nestled between a couple of wooden boxes, and inside you’ll discover a valuable Gold Bar along with the Houseboat Key.
Please note that the image below showcases the Barista’s Bag Key as it is from a previous season, prior to Season 4 Reloaded.
Discovering the Perfect Spot: Where to Use the Houseboat Key in DMZ
If you’re curious about where to employ the Houseboat Key in DMZ, we’ve got you covered. As expected, the Houseboat Key effortlessly unlocks a stunning Houseboat. This particular Houseboat is conveniently nestled on the peaceful canal southwest of Castle and just north of the Fire Department, occupying the map grid C5.
