How to Get Rid of the Enemy of Justice: A Comprehensive Guide featuring Daphne Fama

Get Rid of the Enemy of Justice Condition in Baldur’s Gate 3

Have you found yourself suddenly becoming the target of once-friendly goblins or having an entire town relentlessly pursuing you? If so, you may be suffering from the “Enemy of Justice” condition in Baldur’s Gate 3. Thankfully, there is a way to resolve this predicament. Here’s a guide on how to rid yourself of the Enemy of Justice condition.

For many players, obtaining the Enemy of Justice condition may be the result of engaging in a violent spree within the Goblin Camp. However, undoing the consequences of your actions is not an easy task, as I myself discovered after committing what could only be described as a “creeping genocide.”

The Enemy of Justice is a perilous state that triggers immediate hostility from all members of a particular faction upon sighting you. This situation commonly arises when infiltrating the Goblin Camp in Act 1, especially if initially approached with a peaceful intent before carrying out violent actions.

However, this condition can manifest in other areas of the game as well, causing a significant increase in difficulty.

Luckily, there is a straightforward solution to remove the Enemy of Justice status, at least in theory. All you need to do is locate the Witness. The Witness is an individual marked by an ‘eye’ symbol and the status ‘Witness’ when selected. They are the sole individual who witnessed your merciless murder of a fellow member within their organization.

To rid yourself of the Enemy of Justice condition in the game, you’ll need to eliminate the witnesses. It’s a classic case of no witnesses, no hostility. Finding the witnesses can sometimes be as simple as locating the red dot on your mini map, which indicates their presence as enemies. However, in my experience, I actually stumbled upon my last witness in a completely separate room, and they were non-hostile until I approached. To make matters more challenging, they were among a group of other goblins, making it difficult to dispose of them discreetly.

If you’re having trouble finding the witness or simply don’t want to go through the hassle of tracking them down, there is an alternative method. You can head back to your camp and eliminate your Tav or main character with the Enemy of Justice debuff. I mean a complete elimination, as in make them completely dead. Once your main character is deceased, approach Withers and ask him to resurrect them.

Keep in mind that you may need to speak to Withers twice in order to access the Resurrection option. Once you do, he will revive your Tav for a cost of 200 gold, and your character will be completely free from the Enemy of Justice debuff.
