How to Sort Inventory in BG3: Finding Auto Sort and Understanding Shaun Cichacki’s Role

Embarking on your thrilling journey in Baldur’s Gate 3 will undoubtedly lead to a plethora of unique and valuable items. From humble skulls to awe-inspiring weapons, your inventory can quickly become a chaotic jumble. Don’t fret – I found myself in the same predicament, desperately searching for an easy solution to automatically sort my inventory. And then, it dawned on me – the answer was right under my nose all along!

Discovering the Auto Sort Button in Baldur’s Gate 3

Entering the Character Sheet in your favorite game allows you to easily keep track of what each character in your party is carrying. It’s especially useful if, like me, you prefer to stick with your main character and have them hold the majority of your items. However, if your inventory is a chaotic mess, fear not! In the top-left corner, you’ll find the Ye Olde Hamburger Menu, which offers a range of options to customize and organize your inventory to your heart’s desire.

Here are the available sorting options:

  • Latest: Sorts items based on their acquisition time.
  • Value: Sorts items in order of their monetary worth.
  • Weight: Sorts items by their weight.
  • Type: Organizes items based on their category.

If you’re anything like me, you prefer to keep things organized by their intended use, so the “Type” option is usually my go-to. However, with a surplus of magical artifacts in my possession, I might opt for sorting by “Value” to see which items will fetch the highest price and line my pockets with extra coins.
