We’ve all been there – the frustration of breaking a valuable item while exploring the vast world of Minecraft. The bow is no exception. But worry not, as I will guide you through the steps of repairing a bow in Minecraft!
Creating a Minecraft Repair Table for Bows
To repair your bow, you need an anvil, which can also be used to repair other equipment. To craft your very own anvil, gather enough iron ingots to create three blocks of iron (that’s 27 ingots, as each block requires nine), with an additional four ingots left over.
Now, I know it may seem like a significant sacrifice, but an anvil is an incredibly useful tool. Not only can it repair your weapons and items, but it also allows you to combine enchantments and rename your items for that personal touch.
If crafting is not your thing, don’t worry! You can always find an anvil in a nearby village and mine it with your trusty pickaxe. The villagers won’t even know what hit ’em.
Repairing a Bow in Minecraft
Repairing your bow is as simple as can be. Just place the bow in the first slot of the anvil, and add the material used to make bows in the second slot. The anvil will work its magic and repair your bow, keeping any enchantments intact.
If you don’t have the required materials, another option is to use another bow to repair the one you have. Since bows are relatively easy to come by, this can be a quick and efficient solution.
But the possibilities don’t end there! If you have two enchanted bows taking up valuable storage space, you can use the anvil to combine their enchantments, creating an even more powerful weapon.
However, please note that enchanted bows cannot be repaired using the crafting table. The anvil is your go-to solution for repairing enchanted bows.
With this quick guide, you’ll be back to shooting arrows in no time. Happy repairing and adventuring!
However, when attempting to repair an Infinity Bow, it will unfortunately downgrade to a regular bow with slightly improved durability – not the most ideal trade-off.
How to Repair an Infinity Bow
The Infinity enchantment is a game-changer, allowing you to use your bow without consuming any arrows. It essentially provides you with infinite ammo. But, there’s a catch.
A bow with the Infinity enchantment cannot have the ‘Mending’ enchantment, which allows you to repair it using experience points (XP). Instead, you can still repair an Infinity Bow using an anvil, but be prepared to gather significantly more materials.
Repairing an Infinity Bow is costly, and each repair increases the cost even more. After four repairs using an anvil and another bow, your Infinity Bow becomes unrepairable.
If your goal is to avoid carrying arrows at all costs, it’s better to craft a new bow and enchant it with Infinity again. However, if you ask us, we would recommend adding the Mending enchantment to a bow and crafting arrows, as the materials for arrows are readily available.
That covers everything you need to know about repairing your bow in Minecraft. For more helpful Minecraft guides, such as crafting concrete or breeding your own turtle squad, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
