Unveiling the Mysterious Letter DMZ: Mission Guide and How to Decode its Secrets

Embark on thrilling missions, both old and new, in Warzone DMZ Season 4. One of the early challenges that players encounter is completing “Laswell’s Letter,” the Tier 1 Story Mission for the Black Mous Faction. If you’re looking for guidance on how to complete it, you’re in the right place.

A Comprehensive Guide to DMZ’s Laswell’s Letter Mission

First and foremost, players must reach Reputation Level 3 with the Black Mous Faction. Reputation is a new feature introduced in Season 4 of DMZ, and it can be earned by successfully completing missions, whether they are urgent or tiered.

Additionally, players must complete a sufficient number of missions within Black Mous Tier 1 to unlock the Story Mission. These missions are generally straightforward and won’t take up much of your time.

How to Access and Read the Letter

Once the Story Mission is unlocked, the next step is to read the letter itself. However, locating the letter within DMZ’s user interface can be confusing. To find and read the letter, follow the step-by-step instructions below:

  1. From the Lobby screen, select “Mission Objectives.”
  2. Scroll all the way to the right until you find the “Notes” section.
  3. In the Al Mazrah subsection, locate “Laswell’s Letter” at the top.
  4. Read through the contents of the letter!

For your convenience, we have also included a screenshot as a visual aid. So, if you’re having trouble finding the letter for any reason, you’ll still have a clear understanding of what needs to be done.

Uploading the Information

To complete this task, players must locate an upload station situated on a radio tower and initiate the upload process. It is worth noting that the specific tower you choose is inconsequential, as any tower within the exclusion zone can be utilized.

If you are looking for a convenient option, we suggest Ashika Island. With its smaller size, you won’t have to navigate through an extensive map to find a tower. These radio towers can be easily identified as tall metal buildings, as shown in the image below.

Radio Tower Locations on Ashika Island

There is one tower located just north of Port Ashika, another in the far northeast of the map, and a third in the far northwest near Oganikku Farms. We have conveniently marked these locations on the map provided below.

Once you’ve successfully located a radio tower, the next step is to make your way up to the top where you’ll find the upload station. This compact computerized station presents players with the enticing option to ‘Begin Upload’ when they approach it.

Initiate the data upload and remain stationed at the upload station until the process is completed. Be aware that this activity may attract the attention of nearby enemies, but fear not. Your elevated position provides both safety and a strategic advantage, allowing you to swiftly eliminate any foes who dare to approach too closely.

Once you finish uploading, you’ll successfully complete the Laswell’s Letter mission in DMZ. As a reward, you’ll receive the coveted High Alert Calling Card and a generous 10,000 XP. Additionally, you’ll earn valuable Reputation for Black Mous and unlock Tier 2 Missions within the same Faction, further enhancing your gameplay experience.
