Starfield: Take a Chance on the Crate – Navigating Neshar and Encountering Daphne Fama

Poor Neshar! His unlucky apprehension at the gates of Neon for smuggling has become an opportunity for us. By helping him complete Loose Ends in Starfield, we can turn his loss into our gain. Let’s jumpstart his quest and ensure his success. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to complete Loose Ends.

Assisting Neshar in Loose Ends in Starfield

Neon, a bustling city filled with smugglers, thieves, and those indulging in excessive intoxication. Unfortunately, Neshar found himself caught before he could even set foot inside. But if you’re feeling compassionate, let’s lend him a hand. Follow these quick steps to progress in the Loose Ends quest. For more detailed instructions, continue reading below:

  • Speak to Neshar in the Neon Security HQ
  • Find the Sleepcrate Manager
  • Retrieve Neshar’s Package
  • Speak to Yannick Legrande
  • Locate Felix Sadler
  • Speak to Yannick Legrande

Once you arrive in Neon, your mission is to locate Neshar. Luckily, he’s not hard to find. Head right from the Spaceport, and you’ll soon come across the Neon Security HQ. It’s conveniently situated opposite GAL Bank and right before the Astral Lounge.

Once you step inside, you’ll find Neshar eagerly waiting for you. To assist him, simply make your way to the back and interact with the closed door of his cell. Neshar, who is in desperate need to deliver a package, pleads with you to take on the task. Without hesitation, agree to help him and he will reveal the location of the package – his sleep crate.

Among the various housing options available in Neon, sleep crates are considered the more affordable choice. These crates are essentially modified cargo containers equipped with a comfortable bed. To locate the sleep crate manager, exit Neon HQ and turn left. You won’t miss the Volii Hotel, adjacent to which you’ll find the entrance to Ebbside. Open the door and step inside to proceed further.

If you find yourself in Ebbside, make sure to follow these directions: continue straight ahead and then take a right turn. Right there, you will find the Sleep Crate Manager waiting for you.

Now, let’s discuss whether it’s worth purchasing the evicted sleep crate contents in Neon.

When you speak to the Sleep Crate Manager and inform her that you require access to Neshar’s sleep crate, you will be asked to provide a code. Once you provide the code, she will offer you the opportunity to buy the contents of some evicted sleep crates. Each crate comes with a price tag of 1,000 credits, and there are a total of three to choose from. However, I must warn you that they are not worth the investment. The first two crates are completely empty, and the third one requires you to journey across Neon. In the end, you will receive a randomized weapon and a pack. In my experience, I received an Anti-Personnel Rescue Axe valued at 975 credits, as well as 1,876 credits in total from the pack. While the pack itself was worth around 900 credits.

Now that you have obtained Neshar’s key, proceed to the sleepcrate located behind the wall. Inside Neshar’s room, you will find his package stored in a yellow storage container.

Our next step is to return to Bayu Plaza. This can be easily done by heading back to Neon’s main street, where the Neon Security HQ is located. Remember, you have the option to fast travel to Neon’s Core using the star map, eliminating the need to run all over the place.

Upon reaching Bayu Plaza, make your way to the Ryujin side of the main street, which is opposite the Astral Lounge. Your destination is Legrande’s Liquors. Enter the establishment and approach the man behind the counter.

Make sure to mention Yannick Neshar as your referral when you meet him – he will be pleasantly surprised! And not only that, but he will also reward you with a generous 4,300 Credits. If you are skilled in Negotiation, you can even negotiate an additional 2,400 Credits in this deal.

Afterwards, Neshar will propose a business opportunity for you to consider. Of course, it is entirely up to you whether you choose to accept or decline. If you decide not to pursue it, the quest will come to an end. However, it is highly recommended to continue on this path.

Now, it’s time to locate Felix, Yannick’s former business partner. To do so, return to Ebbside, the place you were previously. Head straight past Madame Sauvage’s Place and take the next right turn. You will soon come across a warehouse – that’s where you’ll find yourself.

Prepare yourself for a thrilling encounter with the Syndicate as you enter the next level. Brace for impact as you face off against four level 6 adversaries. Don’t fret though, as you have the skills to dispatch them and move forward. Make your way upstairs and you’ll find Felix, who is overjoyed to see you, believing that Yannick sent you to save him from his predicament.

Now, here comes the crucial decision in the Loose Ends Quest of Starfield: Should you kill or spare Felix?

Regardless of your choice, Felix doesn’t seem to be too thrilled or grateful. If you spare him, he will leave bitterly without showing any gratitude. On the other hand, if you decide to end his life, you will be rewarded with 974 credits, 1.5kv LZR cartridge ammo, a solstice, a combat knife, and fishworker wetwear apparel. The choice is yours, do what feels right in your heart.

It’s important to note that Yannick, the one who sent you on this quest, doesn’t seem to care about Felix’s fate. Killing him or letting him live doesn’t have any impact on your interaction with Yannick. However, reporting back to him will mark the end of this quest!

Completing this quest will reward you with around 7,000 credits and will also serve as a starting point for the “Fishy Business” quest, which will eventually teach you how to make Aurora and provide you with enough ingredients to learn how to make AMP.

If, however, you prefer a more straightforward approach and don’t want to go through the quest, you can always choose to buy Aurora through other means. Starfield offers plenty of alternative paths to acquire the object you desire, making it a versatile and satisfying gaming experience.
