When it comes to the missions in DMZ, the challenges become more demanding as you progress to higher tiers. The Route Forward, a Tier 5 mission in the White Lotus Faction, is no exception. In Warzone Season 4, completing this mission requires precision and strategy.
There are three main tasks you need to accomplish in order to complete The Route Forward:
- Loot 7 Tracking Devices from the Al Sharim Pass Dead Drop: Your first objective will be to retrieve 7 Tracking Devices from the Al Sharim Pass Dead Drop. This location is situated in the eastern region of Al Mazrah. Ensure that you have a vehicle to reach this elevated area. Be prepared, as the area is heavily populated and you’ll need to arm yourself with sufficient armor and ammunition.
- Plant 7 Tracking Devices on the AQ trucks in Sattiq Caves: Your next task is to plant the Tracking Devices on the AQ (Al Qaeda) trucks located in Sattiq Caves. Make sure to complete this objective in a single deployment to maximize efficiency.
- Travel to the server rack in the bunker in Sattiq Caves and download the data: The final step is to travel to the server rack within the bunker in Sattiq Caves and download the crucial data. This will require you to navigate through the caves and overcome any obstacles that may arise.
By successfully completing The Route Forward, you will be rewarded with a Used Skeleton Key (with two remaining uses), 20,000 XP, and Reputation points for the White Lotus Faction.
Al Sharim Pass Dead Drop
Your journey begins by heading towards Al Sharim Pass, a point of interest (POI) located in the eastern region of Al Mazrah. Refer to the marked area on the map below to locate it. As the pass is situated at a high altitude, you will require a vehicle to reach the destination. Keep in mind that the area is densely populated, so ensure that you have enough armor and ammunition before venturing into it.
In the game, the Dead Drop is a valuable point of interest (POI) that you don’t want to miss. Located in map grid G6, you can easily spot it as a white dumpster, just like the others. It is conveniently placed on the southwest side of a residential building.
As you approach the Dead Drop, it’s essential to be cautious of the AI characters that are roaming around the area. To ensure your success, take your time and play through the situation carefully. Opting to approach from the south road is a smart move, as it allows you to swiftly access the Dead Drop and make your escape through the same path.
Are you ready for an adventure? First, make your way up to the dumpster and get ready for some action. Interact with it to open it up and discover what’s inside. To proceed with your mission, collect all seven Tracking Devices and safely store them in your trusty backpack. But don’t linger too long! There’s still a lot of work waiting for you, so quickly head back to your vehicle and get ready to hit the road again.
Conquer the AQ Trucks at Sattiq Caves
Your next destination is the legendary Sattiq Caves, located to the west of Al Mazrah. This Point of Interest (POI) may be a bit of a trek from Al Sharim Pass, but trust us, it’s worth it. However, time is of the essence, as completing The Route Forward mission requires you to do it all in one deployment. So, gear up, be prepared, and get ready to take on the challenges that await at the Sattiq Caves.
Prepare yourself for a thrilling adventure at the Cave Complex, but be prepared to encounter swarms of enemy AI who are determined to protect their territory. These foes won’t take kindly to any intruders trying to investigate their POI.
However, there is some good news! The AQ Trucks that we need to access are mostly scattered around the outskirts of the Caves. This means you won’t have to deal with as much trouble to reach them. Just keep an eye out for the large armored trucks with open backs, as they are the ones that can potentially accommodate teammates.
For your convenience, we’ve provided a helpful image of the Cave Complex below, highlighting the exact locations of all 7 AQ Trucks. It is important to note that some of them are located underground, so you will need to navigate your way into the depths of the caves, which unfortunately means encountering more formidable bots along the way.
Planting a Tracking Device at the Trucks
To start your mission, make your way to one of the Trucks where you will find the option to interact and plant a Tracking Device. For optimal results, it is recommended to begin from the east and gradually make your way towards the west of the Caves. This approach aligns well with how most players typically approach the point of interest from the east.
Furthermore, this method enables you to navigate around the south side of the complex, effectively avoiding a majority of the AI that often lingers in that area.
Data Download at Sattiq Caves
The next objective is to locate the building housing the data unit. This specific task can be completed separately from planting the Tracking Device, but if time permits, it is advisable to head straight for the data unit after dealing with the Trucks.
The building can be described as a small bunker situated on the side of a mountain, providing a vantage point overlooking the plane crash area. Precisely, you can find it within map grid D5, a bit north of the main Cave region.
Prepare to be amazed as you enter the legendary Afghan multiplayer map from the iconic Modern Warfare 2. One of the key highlights of this captivating map is the thrilling plane crash scenario that will leave you in awe.
Once you step foot inside the building, keep your eyes peeled for a colossal data processing unit prominently positioned against the wall. Fear not, for your mission is clear – approach the unit and engage with it to initiate the exhilarating process of downloading vital data.
