Choosing the right ship weapons in Starfield can be quite a challenge, considering the wide range of options available. With different weapon types, varying classes from A to C, and prefixes like Turret and Auto, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But fear not! There is one weapon that stands out from the rest – the Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector.

To unlock the Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector, you must join the esteemed Vanguard faction. Begin by speaking to Commander Tuala at the MAST tower, conveniently located above the ramp leading to the MAST District. Express your interest in joining the Vanguard, and this will initiate the Supra Et Ultra mission, ultimately granting you Vanguard membership.

Once you embark on the subsequent mission, Grunt Work, you will gain access to a plethora of Vanguard supplies, including the coveted Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector. To equip this powerful weapon, simply visit any Ship Services Technician and choose the option “I’d like to view and modify my ships.” From there, navigate to the Weapons tab within the Ship Builder of your main ship.

If you don’t initially see the Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector in the Weapons section, don’t fret. Take some time to relax and wait for 24 in-game hours. This will reset the Technician’s shop inventory, making the weapon available for purchase.
