Embarking on an adventure in the shadow-cursed lands of Baldur’s Gate 3 is an exhilarating journey. As you explore the cursed village, armed with the mystical Moonlantern, you will encounter an array of enigmatic secrets. One of the most perplexing puzzles lies in the form of a plaque. Located just outside the Mason’s Guild, this puzzle may initially seem daunting. However, fear not, as the solution to the plaque puzzle might be simpler than you realize.
As you approach the town square, adjacent to the Mason’s Guild and the gate where you meet Arabella, your attention will be drawn to a shattered statue. If you pass a perception check, you will notice a plaque, but a part of its inscription has been rubbed out. Clearly, this is a puzzle waiting to be solved. But how can you unravel its mysteries?
Are you stuck on the plague puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
To solve this puzzle, start by examining each of the plaques on the statue. Although you’ll need to pass three perception checks to read all three plaques, it’s not necessary to do so. You can simply click on each plaque quickly, one after the other.
- “F – LOSS – PAINALLSL – RISE”
- “OUR – LMISTRWHEN – NITHORM -”
- “ADY – OESS – OFGHT – FSHAL”
Make sure to press the plaques in the correct order, and voila! The door in the back of the statue will open. You don’t even need to decipher the message.
If the door doesn’t open immediately, try clicking on “F – LOSS – PAINALLSL – RISE” again.
Discover the hidden secrets of the Sharran Sanctuary through the mystical door. Prepare yourself for a series of exciting challenges that will test your skills and enhance your abilities. Each of the statues you encounter will demand a saving throw of 14 or higher. The middle statue assesses your Charisma, the one closest to the stairs tests your Intellect, and the statue nearest to the wall evaluates your Wisdom.
Successfully pass all three skill checks, and marvel as a hidden alcove is revealed behind a moving wall. Here, an ancient altar awaits your attention. Engage in a religion check and interact with the altar to make a blood offering. Don’t worry, this action comes with no downsides, only benefits.
By offering blood, you will receive not only the Ritual Dagger of Shar, a powerful artifact but also valuable items such as the Scroll of Blight, Scroll of Revivify, Elixir of Necrotic Resistance, and Potion of Angelic Reprieve. However, be aware that taking the Ritual Dagger of Shar will incur Disapproval from Shadowheart and lead to an intense battle against three formidable guardians. These adversaries are protected by the “Living Shadow” buff, rendering them immune to all forms of damage except for Force, Psychic, or Radiance attacks. If you feel unprepared to face these level 7 enemies, it may be wise to abstain from taking the dagger.
