Mark your calendars: the Diablo 4 Battle Pass will be released on July 20, 2023, coinciding with the start of the Season of the Malignant. After that, new seasons are expected to follow a quarterly schedule.

What is the cost of the Diablo 4 Battle Pass?

The Diablo 4 Battle Pass will offer both a free track with 27 tiers and a paid track with 63 tiers. For access to the Premium Battle Pass, players can expect to pay $10 (£8).

Additionally, there is an option to purchase tier skips at an additional cost through the Accelerated tier, which is priced at $25 (£21) and rewards players with an extra cosmetic. Each level skip costs 200 Platinum. Players will have approximately three months to complete the Battle Pass before each season comes to an end.

Embarking on your Diablo 4 Adventure

  • Completing quests
  • Killing enemies
  • Completing events
  • Completing seasonal objectives
  • Completing Season Journey chapters

Diablo 4 is shaping up to be an exciting and immersive gaming experience. One of the key aspects that the development team wants to emphasize is that in Diablo 4, “You can’t pay for power.” This means that players won’t be able to use real money to gain an unfair advantage in the game.

To level up your character and progress in the game, you need to put in the effort and play for around 80 hours to fully level up the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass consists of 90 tiers, divided into a free tier with 27 tiers and a premium tier with 63 tiers. Players will have approximately three months to complete the Battle Pass and unlock its rewards.

The free tier is available to all players who own the game and offers rewards when certain levels are reached. The premium tier, on the other hand, offers cosmetic items such as armor sets, a seasonal mount, and mount armor. If you decide to purchase the Battle Pass later in the season, your progress towards the premium tier will be retroactive, allowing you to unlock all the rewards you would have earned.

For those who want to progress faster, there will be the option to purchase additional Battle Pass tiers. However, the main way to progress the Battle Pass is through the Season Journey, a series of activities and objectives within the game world. By completing these tasks, you will earn Favor, which is used to level up your Battle Pass.

Unlock Seasonal Blessings

As you progress through the free Battle Pass track, you can earn Smoldering Ashes, which can be used to earn Seasonal Blessings. There are five Seasonal Blessings to choose from, and each can be leveled up to four, with increased benefits at each level. The Season 1 Seasonal Blessings include bonuses such as increased experience from monster kills, higher gold earnings from vendor sales, and improved chances of acquiring rare materials.

Embark on Your Season Journey

Your Season Journey is your path to progressing through the Battle Pass. By completing objectives and chapters, you will earn Favor, Legendary Aspects, and other rewards. Some challenges will reward more Favor than others, ranging from completing dungeons to gathering resources and obtaining season-exclusive items. Your journey in Diablo 4 is filled with exciting adventures and rewards.

The Season Journey in Diablo 4 is an exciting and rewarding experience, divided into seven chapters. To progress through each chapter, you’ll need to accomplish a specific set of objectives. Completing these objectives not only earns you Favor to advance your Battle Pass tiers, but also unlocks unique rewards for each chapter, including coveted Legendary Aspects.

Diablo 4 Battle Pass Format

Diablo 4 continues the series’ beloved seasonal format, which has been a hit in both Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. However, it’s important to note that the seasonal content in Diablo 4 will diverge from the main campaign content, opening up new storylines and quests. Consider the seasonal content as separate experiences that can only be accessed with a fresh character in the “Seasonal Realm”. While you can work on the Battle Pass alongside the campaign, earning favor through kills and quests, you won’t be able to experience season-exclusive mechanics – such as encountering Malignant foes – until after completing the campaign.
