Specifically, one of the quest steps requires players to gather 300 Filthy Lucre, which can be quite time-consuming. In this guide, we’ll explain how to efficiently farm Filthy Lucre in Destiny 2.
The Bank Job quest involves completing various tasks, such as achieving multikills with a grenade launcher, along with collecting 300 Filthy Lucre. Unfortunately, the only ways to obtain Filthy Lucre in Destiny 2 are through Crucible and Gambit matches, or by participating in Nightfalls.
Many players are aware that the reward for these events only grants one Filthy Lucre, which means it could take a considerable amount of time to collect the required 300. However, we have some suggestions to help you farm Filthy Lucre more easily.
One essential factor to note is that owning the Season of Arrivals Season Pass, which costs 1,000 Silver, will be key. By having the Season Pass, players can unlock a perk called Catalyst Enhancement, which significantly speeds up objective progressions.
In order to swiftly farm Filthy Lucre in Destiny 2, players should aim to reach Rank 11 and 22 as quickly as possible. At Rank 11, objective progression is doubled, and at Rank 22, it is tripled. This means that at Rank 22, the Filthy Lucre reward for completing a Crucible match or any of the other mentioned methods will be tripled.

As you can imagine, the grind to collect 300 Filthy Lucre for The Bank Job quest becomes significantly easier when the Filthy Lucre rewards are tripled. To further speed up the process, players should participate in matches or Nightfalls that can be completed quickly.
If there’s a Nightfall strike you excel at, it’s recommended to grind that repeatedly rather than wasting time on a Gambit match. Additionally, playing Crucible matches in playlists like Mayhem or Scorched is a wise choice, as they tend to be faster-paced. Simply rinse and repeat the aforementioned steps until you’ve obtained all 300 Filthy Lucre, and you’ll have completed one step of The Bank Job quest.
