Find Your Belongings in BG3: Guide to Reclaim Items from the Tiefling Hideout

Recover Your Belongings in Baldur’s Gate 3: A Guide

Are you struggling to find your belongings in Baldur’s Gate 3? Don’t worry, it can be a perplexing situation if you’ve encountered the event where your items mysteriously disappear. But fear not, as you explore the vast RPG world of Baldur’s Gate 3, you may encounter mischievous Tiefling children who have cunningly picked your pockets. If you fall into their traps, you’ll notice that some of your precious belongings are missing.

This unexpected twist, as mentioned in our Baldur’s Gate 3 review, makes the gaming experience all the more memorable. However, retrieving your lost items in Baldur’s Gate 3 is no easy task. You’ll need to utilize various proficiencies found in specific Baldur’s Gate 3 classes and cast certain BG3 spells to regain your treasured possessions.

Our recommendation is to interact with Doni, the Tiefling child, while playing as Astarion—a companion you can recruit early on. Astarion is more likely to discern the situation and understand what’s going on.

To locate your belongings in Baldur’s Gate 3, you need to pass a passive perception test to notice that Doni has slipped through the rocks. Use a talented rogue like Astarion to perform an investigation check. If successful, you can examine the concealed hatch and discover that there’s no conventional entrance.

To pass the time, take a long rest. Upon returning from your rest, Doni will return to his usual spot. Engage him in conversation to trigger a Wisdom check, followed by a Persuasion check to convince him to unlock the hatch and enter the Tiefling hideout.

Alternatively, you can enter the Tiefling hideout through a hole near the ladder next to Mattis. However, you’ll need to cast a spell in order to shrink your character to fit through. If that fails, head to the northeast beach, just past Doni. Look for Mirkon, a boy listening to a song near the water’s edge. Defeat the harpies in the area to break the spell on the boy. In gratitude, Mirkon will provide you with the password to access the hideout.

Once inside the hideout, wait for Mol, another Tiefling child, to reach the center of the chamber. Approaching too soon may cause her to flee, so leave and reenter if necessary.

When you speak to Mol, select “Thought you might need help with something” and agree to assist to receive a BG3 quest called “Steal the Sacred Idol”. Then, choose “I’m shy of a few belongings” to access the pickpocket’s bag and reclaim your stolen swag. If you talk to her after saving the Tiefling child from the druids, she’ll express her gratitude for your kindness.

And there you have it – a guide on how to recover your belongings in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you’re seeking more tips on specific quests, you can learn how to navigate BG3 noxious fumes, break BG3 cracked walls, and find various BG3 shovel locations to uncover hidden treasure.
