In order to remove the Arcane Hunger debuff, you’ll need to interact with Gale and offer him a magical item that he can absorb. By opening your inventory and hovering over an uncommon or higher-grade item, you’ll see a message indicating that “Gale can absorb this item’s magic, destroying it.”

Alternatively, if Gale already has the item in his inventory, you can select it and choose the option to “Consume” it. This action will not only remove the Arcane Hunger debuff but also improve your standing with Gale and update his companion quest.

But don’t worry, there’s a way to deal with this debuff. You need to wait for Gale to give you a warning about the hunger growing inside him or until he actually gets the effect.

Discovering Magical Items

Magical items refer to equipment of uncommon grade or higher that have the description stating “Gale can absorb this item’s magic.” These items typically include armor, weapons, and accessories. You can find them scattered throughout the game world, such as on defeated enemies or inside treasure chests. In case of urgency, you can also purchase them from merchants.
