Starfield Adoring Fan: Comprehensive Guide on How To Acquire, Utilize, and Understand This Mystery Figure

Introducing the Starfield Adoring Fan: A Familiar Face in Bethesda’s Space Epic

Calling all Bethesda fans! Prepare to be thrilled and possibly annoyed as the notorious Adoring Fan, one of the most unforgettable NPCs in Bethesda’s gaming history, makes a triumphant return in Starfield.

After nearly two decades since the Adoring Fan first followed us incessantly around Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, he now graces us with his presence in Bethesda’s upcoming space game. If you’re not familiar with this zealously adoring character, fear not, as we are here to provide all the details about the Adoring Fan, including his role in Starfield, his abilities, and how to recruit him into your Starfield crew.

Meet the Adoring Fan

The Adoring Fan is a loyal companion in Starfield who will never cease to remind you of your greatness.

While his constant praise may become tiresome after a while, he occasionally surprises you with gifts during your travels together. So, perhaps enduring his incessant chatter is well worth it in the end.

The Adoring Fan in Starfield is voiced by Craig Sechler, reprising his role from Oblivion. This means that players who missed out on his original performance can now have an authentic experience of his character in a whole new setting – space.

Recruiting the Adoring Fan in Starfield

If you’re eager to have the Adoring Fan by your side in Starfield, simply choose the Hero Worshipped trait during character creation and venture to New Atlantis on Jemison.

Keep in mind that Starfield traits are entirely optional, so if you’re a bit apprehensive about re-encountering the Adoring Fan from Oblivion, rest assured that you can easily avoid him.

Once you have the Hero Worshipped trait, the Adoring Fan will make a random appearance during your initial visit to Starfield New Atlantis, shortly after meeting the Starfield Constellation. Once recruited, you can take him along on your adventures, whether exploring bustling Starfield cities or distant Starfield planets.

How to Remove the Adoring Fan in Starfield

If you find yourself needing to get rid of the Adoring Fan in Starfield, there are a few options available to you. You can assign him to an outpost, use persuasion tactics, or even resort to eliminating him altogether.

Assigning the Adoring Fan to an outpost is a relatively hassle-free way to remove him from your presence. While he may not be the most ideal worker, at least he won’t be constantly in your hair. Alternatively, you can try using persuasion in the game to scare him off.

However, if you’re looking for a more permanent solution, killing him is an option. To do this, initiate a conversation with him and select the dialogue option: ‘[Attack] Time for you to go. Permanently.’ Once you’ve done this, the Adoring Fan will be permanently removed from the game, and your Hero Worshipped trait will also be eliminated. Just be cautious of your crew’s reactions, as they won’t be pleased if they witness you harming one of their own.

Skills of the Adoring Fan

The Adoring Fan possesses skills in Scavenging, Concealment, and Weight Lifting, making him well-suited to serve as a reliable companion and pack mule during your quest for valuable loot. Although he may not excel in social situations, his skills make him an excellent choice for planetary exploration within the game.
