Unveiling the Nyrulna Trident: A Comprehensive Guide to the Circus of the Last Days, Stolen Rings, and Stats

The Nyrulna trident is an absolute game-changer in Baldur’s Gate 3, providing you with immense power in both close combat and ranged attacks. It serves as an upgraded version of the returning pike you acquire during Act One. However, acquiring this legendary weapon requires a combination of persuasion, stealth, and a bit of wealth. Dive into the details below to learn more about obtaining the coveted Nyrulna trident in Baldur’s Gate 3.

To get your hands on the Nyrulna trident, your first step is to engage in a conversation with Akabi, located in the Circus of the Last Days during Act Three. You’ll need to be clever and persuasive to convince Akabi to part with his valuable ring. Once you’ve obtained the ring, you’ll then have to try your luck by spinning a wheel and aiming for the jackpot. This will ultimately lead Akabi to transport you to a mysterious jungle where the legendary Nyrulna weapon awaits.

Entering the Circus of the Last Days

To gain access to the Circus of the Last Days, you’ll need to interact with Benji and Klaus. These intriguing characters have a peculiar requirement for entry. They believe your party might be “vicious murderers” and will deny you access, claiming it’s because of your distinct odor. Don’t be discouraged, though, as you can use your persuasive skills to convince or perhaps even bribe/intimidate Benji and Klaus into granting you entry to the circus.

I must confess, when it comes to deceiving my opponents in the game, I rely heavily on my wizard character. The ability to manipulate and outsmart others is a true advantage. However, even if you don’t have a specialized class, fear not! There are still three default options available that will get you through the dialogue.

Once you’ve successfully entered the elusive Circus of the Last Days, your next task will be to locate Akabi. You’ll find him conveniently situated just west of the entrance. Approach him and engage in conversation to initiate the quest of obtaining the coveted Nyrulna trident.

The Thrilling Heist of Akabi’s Ring

Now, pay close attention to this next part. When you encounter Akabi, make sure to strike up a conversation about the mysterious wheel positioned next to him. Here’s the catch: attempting to spin the wheel directly will result in failure. Akabi has masterfully rigged it against you. But alas, there is a way to triumph! Before making your spin attempt, you must first cunningly steal Akabi’s ring through the art of pickpocketing.

In this exciting adventure, you have the opportunity to execute a daring move – having a character hide behind Akabi and successfully pickpocket the Djinni Ring. It’s worth noting that this task can be made easier by utilizing a stealthy main character or even a party member like Astarion. Once you possess the ring, prepare yourself for an exhilarating experience as you pay 500 coins to spin the wheel, all in anticipation of winning the ultimate jackpot. However, be prepared for Akabi’s wrath as he labels you a thief and a cheater, casting you away into a treacherous jungle.

Embarking on the Quest for the Nyrulna Trident

Now, banished to the depths of the jungle, you must be resourceful enough to navigate past the vigilant dinosaurs patrolling the area or engage in battle and defeat them. Your ultimate objective is to reach a mysterious purple portal, which stands proudly amidst the chaos. But beware, it is guarded by a treasure chest, strategically placed at coordinates (X: -1513, Y: -1523). To access the treasure chest, you will need to make a daring move – take a leap and endure a bit of damage or utilize a misty step to gracefully land on the platform, ensuring a safe approach.
